Getting rid of uninvited hair can be painful. Plucking, shaving and waxing are monotonous duties that waste a lot of valuable time. Not to mention, in order to sustain control of the uninvited hair you have to take action every other day. Thankfully, two medical treatments are approved by the Food and Drug Administration as trustworthy ways of removing hair permanently.
Electrolysis is the first method. In this procedure the hair follicles are left unable to produce hair with the insertion of needles that deliver a zap of energy, killing the follicles. This treatment can take a quite awhile because countless amounts of hair follicles need to be killed. Also, the thought of having needles inserted into the skin may be too stressful even though they do not hurt.
The second method is laser hair removal. This treatment uses a laser, which is a beam of high powered light, to kill hair follicles. This procedure takes a smaller amount of time because a laser can kill a range of hair follicles instead of just one at a time. Yet, there is a risk of slight scarring or burning.
Neither method offers complete hair removal in a single treatment. Successive treatments will be required to kill any hair follicles that remain either because they were missed or were not in the appropriate growth stage to be successful.
Both of these procedures may seem quite expensive; however, bear in mind, these methods are permanent. This is only a single expense, while you spend a little bit each work on temporary methods, which can eventually become more expensive than a permanent method. Time should also be considered when you are weighing the costs. If you are always busy your time is extremely important and eliminating the time it takes you to remove hair each day may be more beneficial to you.
Whatever method you end up choosing to remove facial hair, just make sure you research your options further before making any haste decisions.
