Getting rid of unwelcome hair can be irritating. The common forms of hair removal such as shaving and waxing are repetitive duties that can take for too long. In addition, to retain control of the unwelcome hair you have to take action every other day. Luckily, two medical treatments are approved by the Food and Drug Administration as sound ways of permanent hair reduction.
The first method is electrolysis. In this treatment needles are inserted into each unwanted hair follicle and zapped with a boost of energy which kills the hair follicle and leaves it unable to produce more hair. This method can take a quite awhile since the number of hair follicles in need of destruction is many. Also, the thought of having needles inserted into the skin may be too stressful even though they do not hurt.
The second method is laser hair removal. A powerful beam of light, or a laser, if used to kill hair follicles in this method. This method takes a smaller amount of time since a laser can cover a range of hair follicles as opposed to just one at a time. Although, it comes with an increased chance of mild scars or burns.
Both of these methods require multiple treatments. Multiple treatments may be required to get rid of any hair follicles that were missed or simply were not in the proper stage to allow for removal.
While these treatments may appear to be costly, bear in mind, these treatments are permanent. The expense is only a one time thing, while your other non-permanent hair removal methods cost you a little bit each week, which can sooner or later add up to more than the price of the permanent removal. Costs should also be determined with consideration of your time. Keep in mind that your free time is very indispensable and eliminating the time it takes you to remove hair each day may be more beneficial to you.
Whatever method you end up choosing to remove facial hair, just make sure you research your options further before making any haste decisions.
